Embarrassment is an ugly thing. It makes you cringe. It makes you curl up. It makes you hide your face. It makes you keep secrets. Embarrassment is a weird thing. Everyone experiences it. Sometimes for different reasons, sometimes for the exact same reasons.
This week we’re going to let an old embarrassment go. Write down an embarrassing story on a piece of paper and fold it up. You can even put it in a small envelope so it’s extra secure. Now we want you to drop it. Drop it in the hall at school. Drop it as you get out of your car. Walk into a bookstore and shove it into your favorite novel. Just get rid of it.
You’re probably going to start freaking out a little because someone is going to eventually read it and know your embarrassing story. Oh no! Then you know what’s going to happen?!
Absolutely nothing.
We don’t want to know your embarrassing stories. Just snap a picture of your note all folded or sealed up and submit it to us through the “submit” button. We wish you happy release and relief throughout the week!

Life can be really hard.
I mean, a lot of us have school and work and parents and relationships and illness and debt and things that need to get done and things to fix and then you still want to have friends and just ugh. Right? There are a lot of things relying on you. Weighing down on you. Depending on you. These things get heavy.
But this week we’re not talking about you. Stop that.
What about the things you rely on? Depend on? The things you lean your weight on? What thing in your daily life do you bank on being there? What can you not get by without that you really take for granted?
This week we want to see your most depended on and under-appreciated thing. Maybe it’s not even a cell phone or a notebook, maybe you just come to notice that your toothbrush has a really hard life. Who knows. Photograph (or draw! if you are so inclined) this item and write up it’s biography. Just a day in the life of your toothbrush. Or whatever. It can be from your point of view or it’s point of view. The point that is important is that you appreciate small things.
Submit it through the link at the top of the page. Include your name, age, location, website, and any other information you’d like in identifying yourself. Or omit everything but your name, that’s okay, too. You have a week! Unless you submit it late. I realize you are a busy person and I can appreciate belated commitment. We have hard lives.

- Care more about money than happiness.
- Think more about myself than others.
- Lose faith in what I believe.
- Stop caring.

Dear breasts,
You are obscenely huge. You bring upon me a whole world of perverts, teenage boys and horny men. You often feel the need to release yourselves from your lacy homes, which are always nice and always expensive, this is often awkward and unkind. You knock over drinks without me realising and have made blouses impossible.
Saying this you are very impressive as breasts go, you have earned me the affectionate nickname “sugatits” and if it wasn’t for the fact I already had a boyfriend I’m sure you’d be very useful in acquiring me a mate. So really, thank you.
Love,

- Don’t sabotage things for yourself. In anything.
- Don’t stay in a job you don’t want or like.
- Don’t lose sight of other people and their needs.
- Don’t settle for anything.
Don’t try not to freak out over every little thing.
But y’know, mainly just the first one.

We received a huge wave of new members because FuckYeahMirandaJuly! was awesome enough to post a link to our humble little project.
I apologise that there has been a lack of activity the past couple weeks. It was due to some personal matters that are being cleared up.
New followers (and old followers!) please feel free to work on and submit any of the previous assignments. I promise to have a new one up this weekend, and if many of you participate I think it’ll make this community an exciting project to be a part of. Also, don’t be shy! Feel free to ask us questions or submit assignments you think would be enjoyable for everyone. We want to hear from you guys!
Thanks again to FYMJ! for the shout out and kind words. If you’re a fan of Miranda’s work and you haven’t already, please go check them out! They are a well-balanced blog that pays tribute to so many aspects of her career.
